Solar Atmospheres modern and environmentally friendly facilities include state of the art vacuum furnaces with advanced electronic data collection and digital controls. This is integrated with our comprehensive metallurgical testing laboratories. These facilities are more environmentally friendly than traditional heat treating companies due to the elimination of waste materials in the vacuum heat treating process. There are no dangerous gases or dirty oil to clean up and no toxic salt baths, Just clean electric power and inert gas quenching. Solar Atmospheres Heat Treating holds high standards for cleanliness on the factory floor and has incorporated Lean Manufacturing practices to further organization and efficiency. In addition, Solar Atmospheres has incorporated SHARP programs providing all employees with a balanced knowledge of equipment safety and standard operating procedures.
